Peoples been asking me about my trip in Korea lately
i think it's time for me to have a blogpost for my trip instead of answering questions over and over =)
Firstly, i need to declare, don't ask me how much i spent in Korea,
you won't want to know what =.=
But i'm going to write about 'necessary' expenses like air fares, accomodation, foods etc.
Air Ticket
- Air fares to Korea is kinda expensive, for your concern, you might need to look for Air Asia so called 'Big Sale'! if you're lucky can may get a ticket with the price around RM650-700 including tax & insurance & luggage.
- If you don't want to go your a sale, you may get the ticket at the price above RM1,000++.
Accomodation
- There are 2 guesthouses i stayed during my stay in Korea, Seoulwise Guesthouse & Blu Guesthouse.
- The place i'm staying at is near HongDae, it's a place pack with the youngster & students.
- Here's the link to Seoulwise Guesthouse & Blu Guesthouse.
- You can make booking & view the room rate on the website, the standard price of the room in most of the guesthouse in Korea is for double private room (55,000KRW), for the mixed dormitory (22,000KRW per bed/person).
KTX (Bullet Train)
- There's also question for my trip to Busan.
- I travelled to Busan via their high speed train name 'KTX'.
- You can book your train ticket online at Korail Korea Railroad.
The price at as the picture below:
Don't doubt the Standing column, it's really standing in the train. =.=
The trip from Seoul Station to Busan Station took approximately 2.50hours - 3 hours.
Busan's Guesthouse
- I'm staying at Zen Backpackers.
- The room rate are the same as the one in Seoul.
Seoul's Metro Subway
- Get a T Money card for travelling around with their subway.
- You can reload in at any station, but if you're going to used your T Money card in Busan, you may need reload your card in Seoul.
- If you're doing your own free & easy trip, my advice, when you search for a place you wanna visit in Seoul, you may need to take note of what STATION to get off, and the most important is which EXIT.
As you can see from the picture, their metro subway map is seriously not a JOKE! There are about 10 lines, so please be aware of what station to go off and what EXIT to reach your destination.
Foods
- The food portion in Korea is quite big.
- You may need to spend at least 7,000 - 8,000 KRW for one easy meal.
Shopping
- You're a shopaholic as well?
- If you're looking for cosmetics, facial products or branded bags like Prada, Chanel, LV, Gucci etc, you surely have to pay a visit to their Lotte Duty Free or Shilla Duty Free.
- If you're not really a 'branded's slaves' like me (*grin), you gotta get yourself to the shopping district in 'Myeong Dong', and also the wholesale wholesome place in 'Dong Dae Mun'!
- For Busan, there's stretch of shopping district in Kekje Market (International Market), it's near to the Busan Tower.
Well, i guess i'm done with the information thou, for the next post, it will the places i've visited and also the direction to the place! =)
